Midsummer Miscellany
Back around Christmas I somehow clicked on the wrong button and, poof, we became Amazon Prime members. That led to the discovery of Acorn, which is a subscription service that gives you streaming access to all sorts of British television, … Continue reading
Final FO’s of 2014
I don’t know where I’ve been this month. Working, I suppose, and Christmas shopping, and in the past few weeks a number of family gatherings on all sides of our families. There was also a fair amount of knitting, so … Continue reading

I had to finish the Maine quilt in order to make another one for a coworker who is expecting pretty much any day now. I was doing well until I came down with bronchitis a few weeks ago, and then … Continue reading
Sickness and Startitis
Greetings from the land of the sick. After two weeks of E suffering from allergies, last week I managed to get an ugly, ugly cold – the likes of which one usually sees in February, not late August. I finally … Continue reading
Seven Things (Random Wednesday Edition)
1. I have recently become obsessed with HGTV, specifically the shows “Love It or List It” and “Property Brothers”, the latter of which I have taken to calling “The Hot Guys Show”. They are horribly formulaic, to the point where … Continue reading

Conundrums
I had a rare afternoon to myself yesterday, which I spent at the sewing machine. I say that as if I were alone, but in truth the kitty likes to “supervise”. This means that whenever I sit down at the … Continue reading
Hers (Back to the Knitting)
Last night I finished the binding on this blanket, and spread it out on a couch pillow while I went into the kitchen to get a drink. I returned exactly sixty seconds later to find this: *sigh* I’ve had a … Continue reading
